Nitric acid (HNO3), also known as aqua fortis and spirit of niter, is a highly corrosive mineral acid.The pure compound is colorless, but older samples tend to acquire a yellow cast due to decomposition into oxides of nitrogen and water. Most commercially available nitric acid has a concentration of 68% in water. When the solution contains more than 86% HNO3, it is referred to as fuming nitric acid.
Soot Remover is a Dry Powder compound formulated for safe removal of soot creosote fire scale and deposits from boilers and diesel engine exhaust systems to control corrosion on metal surface and increases boiler efficiency. It improves the condition of combustion gas passes in boilers burning heavy fuel oil or coal. It is used to remove unburned carbon slag deposits from Boiler furnances, superheaters, economizer, air heaters and exhaust path/ stacks. Soot remover is avaialable in powder, liquid, stick form.
Ethylene glycol (IUPAC name: ethane-1,2-diol) is an organic compound with the formula (CH2OH)2. It is mainly used for two purposes, as a raw material in the manufacture of polyester fibers and for antifreeze formulations. It is an odorless, colorless, sweet-tasting, viscous liquid. Ethylene glycol is moderately toxic.This reaction can be catalyzed by either acids or bases or can occur at neutral pH under elevated temperatures. The highest yields of ethylene glycol occur at acidic or neutral pH with a large excess of water.
